Spare flexible plastic fin, designed to withstand pressure on sand or accidental grounding in shallow water. The 3 Batten Goya Fringe X is a surprisingly stable, super light, powerhouse of a wave sail.  We love the Fringe for everything from side off schlog and surf, through high wind Bump and Jump, and even underpowered foiling!  The sail is very compact and light feeling, so it's super easy to throw around and very responsive to changes in sheeting angle.

The X-Ply version of the sail includes a scrim perimeter, and an X-Ply main window for maximum durability!

Windsurf sail Goya Fringe Pro 5.0m2.

Pure surf wave, and so very much more. The Fringe Pro is the most light-weight, smooth power delivering and effortless handling sail in the Goya wave range, and this is why it is Keith Teboul’s top pick, also a regular go to sail for Loick Lesauvage, as well as Jason Diffin’s personal favorite. The ultra-light weight fingertip handling feel combined with the huge window make the Fringe Pro feel like pure surfing, with a power assist. The “Direct Connect” foot batten back end to clew configuration really adds to the precise feel and handling of this maneuver wave sail. Easy power and finesse with a fingertip. Golden touch really describes the feeling of Fringe Pro in the surf.

A set of 2 lightweight and flexible fins.

They can be glued to the board as two stabilizing fins, helping with easier directional tracking while paddling.

Use the adhesive that is usually included in the board’s repair kit or another suitable PVC glue.

The use of carbon significantly increases the sail’s stability, keeping the lower section curved, the middle section stable, and the upper section properly twisted. The result is an exceptionally comfortable feel.

The main window is made from 6 mil Bi-PLY by Dimension Polyant USA and two layers of 3 mil PET, creating a softer structure and improved flexibility.

Panels made from 4 mil high-quality monofilm reduce weight in the upper section.

Upper panels are constructed from 1.5 mil carbon fibers to control elasticity in the sail, combined with extremely strong Technora Aramid.

Colored panels in the lower section are made from 2.5 mil polyester and X-PLY, used to reduce weight while still providing minimal stretch.

Unique to the Banzai Pro design concept is the back-hand throttle control. The sail pulls forward from “low RPMs” and is very balanced, but there is always a little “extra” available off the back hand for when you really need to juice up into a jump or maneuver. This tactile back-hand feel gives you a direct connection to how the sail is loading and releasing and allows you stay connected throughout your maneuvers.

Marcilio Browne has driven this concept, insisting that the sails maintain the connected feel, providing him supreme confidence and control through technical maneuvers. There is a trend in the market for more “neutral” feeling wave sails, and while there is a place for more of that on other Goya models, designed for a more positive rider connection to instant power delivery.
